do not confuse:   how are you doing ?  and what are you doing?

school in US = elementary school, high school, and university (college) included

You study majors (careers) and
a major = career subjects (major) + general subjects

Lima university, San Marcos Univerity, UTP (PTU = Peruvian Technological Univeristy)
What is your major? --> It is industrial engineering.
 Careers or majors = medicine, psycholology, education, architecture, etc.

Watch out!

• a doctor's career  is  medicine
