FUTURE TENSES

simple future
future progressive
simple present
present progressive for the future (for a specific moment in the future something will be in progress)
future perfect (for a specific moment in the future something already happened)
future perfect progressive

Conjugating visit with I
I will visit.<> I am going to visit
I will be visiting = I am going to be visiting
I visit
I am visiting
I will have visited = I am going to have visited (1 time expression)
I will have been visiting = I am going to have been visiting (2 time expressions)



Functions for will and going to:

will = going to (in the long time)
      I will take a postgraduate course in 2 years.   = I am going to take a postgraduate course in 2 years


will and going to (in the short time)

      will  (general, maybe)  going (imminent)
Look , she is going to have a baby.              DIFFERENT FROM     I think she will have a baby girl.

      going (decided with anticipation)     = present progressive for the future
I am going to visit Cuzco = I am visiting Cuzco next month.

Simple present vs present progressive for the Future:

simple present = imposed
    The exam takes place on Monday
present progressive  = going = you arrange with anticipation
I am studying for the test with some friends tomorrow.

Future progressive, perfect, and perfect progressive:  (will & going to)

future progressive
  I will be studying grammar by August 15th.  =   I am going to be studying grammar  by August 15th. 
future perfect (T1)
    By August 15 th , I will have studied grammar 02
future perfect progressive (T1& T2)
  By October 1st , I will have been studying grammar for 3 months. = By October 1st , I am going to have been studying grammar for 3 months.
