Imperatives:

Direct Speech:  The teacher said, "Pay attention."
Indirect Speech: The teacher said (that) to pay attention.

Teacher: Don't speak in Spanish.
Direct Speech:  The teacher said, "Don't speak in Spanish."
Indirect Speech: The teacher said (that) NOT to speak in Spanish.

The teacher asked us not to listen to the recording.

The teacher said (to us) not to listen to the recording.

She told me to take two tablets with meals and get some rest. She also told me not to overdo  it.

Scientifically, it has been throroughly proven that if you sleep less to learn more, it won't help you learn more efficiently. When you come sleepy to class , you only grasp barely a 30% of the lesson in contrast to others who grasp 55%.

I have a friend by the name of Julio. He works 16 hours a day. He has 3 part-time jobs. He is a cook in a sandwich stand, a dog walker in the morning, and a delivery guy on weekends. He is very busy and he doesn't have time to relax or organize his home....

I think he should take it easy. His doctor told him to relax or take a vacation.
