1. What is the difference between a tense and time?
Time:  past, present and future
Remember that time is lineal.

Tense:
A grammatical structure
a formula (auxiliaries and verb forms)

indicates how an action is performing
4 main categories among other tenses
simple tenses --> progressive tenses
perfect tenses --> perfect progressive

future tense with will
future tense with going to

perfect tenses

The verb forms
They are:
base form     ---> be
present form  --> am, are
3rd person singular --> is
past form --> was , were
present pàrticiple --> being
past participle  ---> been

Special Case
