(when the relative pronoun is the subject in an adjective clause, the verb agrees with the head noun that the adjective clause is modifying)

(possessive adjectives do not influence agreement)

The yogi master asks the street hotdog vendor, " make me one with everything."
make me one with everything = make me a sandwich with all the sauces
make me one with everything = make my spirit become part of the spirit of mother nature

The teacher asked him, "where did you go?"

Indirect/Reported  Speech
He asked him to make him one with everything.
The teacher said that he was in peace.
The teacher asked Micky where he had gone.


The teacher asks him, "where did you go?"
The teacher asks him where he went.
