What is an action verb? non-action?
Usually a verb that expresses an event you can observe; thus, it can be used both in the progressive and the simple tenses.
Examples: I walk every day. or She is walking slowly in a park.
A non-action verb is usually abstract (you can only state it), which can not be observed .
Normally, it cannot be used in the progressive tenses.
Examples: I love you. I believe in God.
I am serious.
I am being funny.
